This is my first bowl made on the wheel for this semester. It stands at 4 inches tall and 4 and a half inches wide. I started by dipping the bowl in black and covered the majority of it in white after, to form a deep blue around the whole bowl. This is a glazing technique I had not known at all, and I'll use this skill for future projects by mixing colors in certain areas to create a deeper feel. The color is definitely the defining aspect of the bowl, as it grabs attention and makes you take another look especially into the inside where the contrast of dark spots show up. The difference in black and blue and the way they go together makes the inside look like a blueberry. The detail in the glaze makes it very soothing to look at, and gives it a calming vibe.
